Free, no signup. We check the one page you enter, usually in a few seconds.

Four checks, one page

How the website health check works

  1. Enter your website address. Your homepage is a good start. Any public page works, but the results only apply to the page you enter.
  2. We load the page from our server, the way a browser would, and check your security certificate at the same time.
  3. We look at four basics: how quickly your server responds and how heavy the page is, whether the page is set up for phone screens, whether Google gets a clear title, description and main heading (and isn't told to hide the page), and whether visitors get a valid certificate, HTTPS and basic browser protection.
  4. You get a plain-English result: a card for each area, the fixes that matter most, and one suggested next step. If something could not be checked, we say so instead of guessing.

What your customers notice

Why these four checks matter to your customers

Speed

People rarely wait for a slow page. If your site keeps them staring at a blank screen, many go back to the search results and pick someone else.

Phones

Many of your visitors are on a phone. A page that isn't set up for small screens makes them pinch and zoom, and that is often where they give up.

Google search

Your page title and description are what people see in Google before they click. A single wrong setting can even hide a page from search entirely.

Security

Browsers warn visitors away from sites without a valid certificate, and label them "Not secure". That is the last thing you want next to your contact form.

Honest limits

What this quick check can't tell you

This is a quick first look, not a full audit. It is useful for spotting clear problems, but a clean result doesn't guarantee your website is working as well as it could.

  • It checks one page. Other pages on your site can have different problems.
  • It reads the page code. It doesn't test your page on a real phone, click your buttons or fill in your forms.
  • Speed is measured from our server. Your visitors' experience also depends on their device, connection and location, so use the result as a signal, not a verdict.
  • It doesn't see rankings, reviews or leads. Those depend on your content, your competitors and your wider presence online.

Website Health Check: FAQ

Is this a full website audit?
No. It is a quick, automated check of one page: the address you enter. It looks at four basics (speed, phones, Google search and security) and explains what it finds. It does not review your other pages, your content, your design or how your site compares with competitors. For a human review of your whole website, request our free website audit. We reply within 24 hours. Audits arrive within 48 hours.
Why does a card say "Couldn't check"?
Some websites block automated checks, respond too slowly, or were unreachable when we tried. When a check does not finish, we say so instead of guessing. We never show a pass for something we could not check. Try again in a minute, or ask us to take a look.
How do you measure speed?
We time how long your server takes to start sending the page to our server, check how heavy the page code is, whether it is compressed, and whether scripts may hold it up. It is not a full browser test and does not measure your real visitors, whose speed depends on their device, connection and location. Our Website Performance Checker and Core Web Vitals Checker go deeper.
Can I check any page, or only my homepage?
You can check any public page. The results apply to that page only, so check your most important pages (for example your homepage and your main service page) one at a time. Pages behind a login cannot be checked.
Do you store my website address or results?
Your website address is sent to our server so it can run the check. The check does not save your address, the page or the results, although normal hosting logs may record requests. Nothing is sent to your website except ordinary page and certificate requests, just like a visitor would make.
What does the suggested next step mean?
We suggest one next step based on your result: a Website Fix Sprint when there are one or two clear fixes, a free website audit when there is more to untangle or something could not be checked, or a care plan to keep a healthy website that way. It is only a suggestion. The check stays free either way.
